Before Anna Wintour or The Devil Wears Prada, there was Diana Vreeland: grande dame of American taste. “The Empress of Fashion,” recently fired as Editor of Vogue, welcomes you into her living room and holds court in this witty one-woman tour-de-force.
You are invited to join us for a free script-in-hand reading of six short plays selected from the 43 ten-minute plays that were first presented at the Midwest Dramatists Conference last fall.
This two-woman show with rapid-fire comic vignettes explores the lives of thirty-something African American middle-class women in urban America as they search for love, clothes, and dignity in a world that fails to recognize them amongst a parade of stereotypical images.
